Just a love toward God can change your life

As today is the start of a new month, it is a good thing to have a decision to love God. Why we need to love Him? We need to love Him because He loved us first. (1 John 4: 19). Yes God loved us first and gave His son as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus could have stayed in heaven and enjoy His Heavenly Kingdom. But He choose to die for the sins we have done against Him. According to the law He suffered and died for our sins and through that His love towards us was shown.

How can we love Him? Of course for the above reason we can love Him. But to know Him and His sacrifice better, you need to study the law and The 10 commandments (Exodus 20). If you feel that you are a perfect person, try reading the commandments and the gospels in New Testaments. Christ has given wonderful and meaningful explanations of the commandments for us to understand that we are sinners. Once you find out you are a sinner and understand that Christ died and suffered for all your sins, you will start loving Him.

Is that enough? In John 14: 15, Jesus told if you love Him, you not only will accept Him as your savior, but also keep Him commandments. Yes, that is the way to show your genuine love and faith towards God. Keep His commandments. Holy Spirit will help you when you take a step and decide to live according to the commands of God (John 14).

Every time and in every situation, you will have a choice. God gave us intelligence to take decision. So in every situation it is up to you to take the right decision whether to go according to the word or according to the world. For that you need to know the word of God. So the first step is to read and meditate the word of God. Then you will understand which way to move forward or The Holy Spirit will guide you in your walk.

By showing your love towards God, you are going to be blessed because you will be taking the right decisions and even if you go the wrong way, you will confess the mistake and return to the way God wants you to move. Just a love toward God can change your life. May God bless you!

Sinner Saved

Sinner saved by Grace, is a quote which we can find everywhere in the Bible, from the first man to the present generation.

The world is filled with hypocrite people who do not accept the ones who try to come out of their mistakes. But when you open the word of God and read it, we find people whom God gave a second chance and saved them.

One such person is a lady called Mary Magdalene. We see her as a sinful woman in the book of Luke 7 and 8. She found out Jesus and her life changed. She was possessed with demons, but Christ healed and saved her and took her and others along with his disciples. Even after Christ resurrected from the death, He appeared to her and she went and told the good news to His disciples (John 20)

In the Gospel of John 8, we see a woman caught in Adultery being brought in front of Jesus. Instead of judging her, Jesus told her – Go and sin no more. That changed her life. She went and told everybody about the grace of Jesus. She can be called as the first ambassador of Christ.

David, one of the celebrity King of Israel did adultery and to hide it, he got involved in killing the lady’s husband (2 Samuel 12). But once he was revealed about the sin, he confessed it before God and asked for forgiveness. God not only forgave him but He called David as the man after God’s own heart (Acts 13: 22).

Saul, the first king of Israel was a perfect man (1 Samuel 9). He did a small mistake, but did not repent or confessed about it. The God who knew his heart threw him out of the throne and rejected him (1 Samuel 15).

God is our creator and He knows our heart. He knows about our thoughts and intention. He knows our repentance and our proudness. He knows our ego and humbleness.

The bible tells about sin as “whoever conceals their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy” – Proverbs 28: 13.

In the same way Jesus says in Luke 15, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God.

Jesus Christ came to the world as a sacrifice to sins of the world, so as to give salvation and make the men righteous with God. But the one who comes to Christ should repent of their sins. Acts 28: 19, says, Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.

There are people who are struggling to live because of the guiltiness of their sins. Jesus Christ came and took all the punishment for your sins. You should understand that your sins are forgiven. Only thing you need to do is to confess it before God and ask Him to forgive. Once God forgives your sin, He forgets it also.

Once you repent, you will be free from sin and when you understand saviour Jesus and accept him, your life will be controlled by the Spirit of God. You will see peace in your heart and from nothing you will be guided to take decisions that will be a blessing to you and you will become a powerful blessing to others.

May The Lord touch you and save you to be blessed and be a blessing in Jesus name

Be Righteous

People who live a life of righteousness may have to go through lot of trials and temptations in this world. Since the world goes through lies, jealousy, adultery and competitiveness, a righteous person will be side-lined and bullied.

But the word of God reminds us that the people who live a righteous life will be honoured by the creator of this universe. Even though you may face difficulties in this world, the Almighty God will consider you better than the world and help you to go ahead in your life.

Christ Jesus came to this world and lived a righteous life. Even before his birth, Isaiah prophesied about him that he will be righteous and the Lord’s power will be upon his life. In this world if you have power, then obviously, there will be a temptation for the person to live a wicked life. You can find examples of world leaders who misused their power in wicked ways. But even though God gave the power to Jesus, he was righteous and lived according to the will of God (Isaiah 42).

When Jesus was baptized by John, God proclaimed that He is pleased with Jesus (Mathew 3). Yes, when you walk with God in righteousness, even though the world may consider you as an idiot, God will be pleased with your life.

God does not show favouritism to anyone. God is not favourable if you belong to particular religion (Acts 3). But God is favourable to the one who lives according to His will and live a righteous life. In the Old Testament we see about Noah. Every time we read about him in Genesis, you notice Noah listened to what God commanded. When you listen to what God commands, His favour and help will be always there in your life.

God commands us to be his child by accepting Christ as our saviour and accept His salvation which is free to all (Ephesians 2: 8,9). Confess your sins before Him and accept in faith that Christ took all your punishment for sins and because of Christ, you are free and righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Once you are saved, be righteous in all your works and be a blessing to others (Ephesians 2: 19-22). May God Bless you!
